Yes, the e-apostille is an official digital certification of a document. Only the FCDO (government office) can issue the e-apostille in the UK. To present a document to the FCDO for the e-apostille it must be certified by a solicitor with an enhanced digital signature.
The e-apostille contains secure digital signatures from both the FCDO and our solicitor. They are within the PDF document.
This is why an e-apostille service is required to assist with the legalisation of documents. Our solicitors are all registered with the FCDO. They have their digital signature on their records.
