STEP 1 – VERIFICATION
We need to verify your degree is genuine. There are three ways we can check the degree is real.
- You contact the university registry office and ask them to email us.
- Some universities have online portals to share official copies of certificates.
- We contact the university to check the document is real. This incurs an additional fee of £50.
We cannot legalise a degree by email without checking the document is genuine.
STEP 2 – CERTIFICATION
Having checked the document, your degree certificated will be certified by our solicitor. They add an Enhanced Digital Signature (EDS) to your document.
- Digitally signed
- Date of certification
- Certification the PDF is a true copy
- Statement added that the document was verified
Our solicitor has registered their EDS with the FCDO for the issue of e-apostilles.
STEP 3 – E-APOSTILLE
The prepared document is submitted to the FCDO for the e-apostille. Having prepared a secure PDF, we upload this to the FCDO Legalisation Office to obtain the e-apostille on your certificate.
